The Feathered Pipe
Ranch in Montana is a magical, sacred space that my sister Titanya and I have been invited
to for the past 6 years. We run a five day belly dance intensive while exploring movement
and The Chinese Five Elements. The ranch is nestled in the Rocky Mountain range outside of
Helena and is home to bears, deer, moose, elk, and hundreds of varieties of other animals.
We usually have 12-20 students from all over the world ranging from women whom have never
belly danced to women who have had several years of dance training. The sleeping quarters
consist of tents, yurts, teepees and lodges.
The week includes treks to hot
springs, hikes, video nights, sweat lodges, laughing, crying, dancing, dancing, dancing,
dancing, arts, crafts, practical jokes, bon fires, smores, handsome men who cook
amazing organic meals and the infamous RED TENT NIGHT. The Red Tent Night takes place at
the end of the week when the main lodge is transformed into a Middle Eastern palace much
like the opulent harems of Istanbul. The night is filled with poetry, music, song, dance,
food, drink and joy.
The Feathered Pipe Ranch is a safe, comfortable, mystical,
life-transforming spot that is run by women and men who hold the highest vibrations of
peace and love in their hearts. Let these photos tell the rest of the story~
