I love the Middle East! I
have traveled all over the world and along with Fijians, Middle Eastern people are some of
the warmest, friendliest most generous people I have ever met. Palestinians and Egyptians
are especially endearing. I find that Americans as a whole are not well traveled. We are
an isolated society with little contact to other large countries except through the media.
I watch American news...local and national and I find little similarity between the
exaggerated horrors, violence and darkness that the press constantly bombards us with and
the true beauty of Arabia and its people.
If you have not been to the Middle East, I
hope you put it on your list of interesting, exciting, friendly and inexpensive places to
travel in the future. The culture, food, architecture, people, music and history of the
Middle East are something to behold! Allow me to share some of that history with you
